PFLANZENFLÜSTERIN CHARACTER ANIMATION

This pitch was for a television film called “The Plant Wisperer” which should have been about a girl being able to talk with plants. Elektofilm asked me in 2003 if I would like to create a speaking cactus to pitch the visual effects for this film.
As nobody could tell me what the cactus should talk about, I made up a little story in which Mr. Cactus had fallen in love

with a tomato bush and was afraid that she could become ketchup when they would kiss.
I modeled, rigged and animated the cactus. Paul Dreisen did a fantastic job in shading and rendering it. If I remember right the whole film wasn`t made in the end. [created by Tim Weimann]
